Shim Sham

1:30pm – $15

The Shim Sham is a staple of the dance world. No longer will you have to watch from the sidelines or struggle in the back! Learn what’s been missing from your nights out dancing by taking this rare opportunity to learn the Shim Sham, beat for beat.

Shim Sham Variations

2:30pm – $15

The Shim Sham is a piece of vernacular that is consistent wherever you go–important for the itinerant dancer. If you already know the shim sham, or just learned it, we’ll do some fun variations to spice up your Shim Sham and let your personality shine.

Shim Sham Extravaganza

1:30pm-3:30pm – Only $25

Why do the Shim Sham for one hour when you can do it for two? Sign up for both classes to maximize your learning and get a $5 discount. After classes, we’ll head to the Mobtown Ballroom to practice more or find a spot to hang out.

What Our Students Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our students do the talking!

“Having taken other classes, yours was the first that actually did the trick! That you were able to teach my husband, “the tree”, totally self-conscious non-dancer with no sense of rhythm to swing dance is an actual miracle! I am so thankful!! “
Sandy T.

“Chiles is a great instructor. He is patient, encouraging and very discrete in his criticism/suggestions. The value of that last point cannot be overestimated. I have taken a number of lessons elsewhere, and I know something about having one’s confidence crushed.
A great leader. Fun to be around. “
Ola H.

“Chiles provides a very welcoming, fun dance environment. His desire to help each student is apparent during every class. He teaches basic to complex moves that are all fun and has a great ability to break dance moves down to the point at which the student understands how to do it. “
William W.
