Holiday Party Tonight! New Classes Start in January.

Join us tonight for our Annual Holiday Party. Bring your favorite treats to share and your holiday good cheer. Like every Thursday, it is officially 8:30-11:00, but we’re always ready to party into the night, as late as people want to dance.

Next week, we have no classes scheduled, but we will still have our dance on Thursday night, 8:30-11:00. Although we won’t be running our regular classes, you can join us at Charm City Swing on Wed. night, where we will be filling in as guest instructors.

Although we feel that our classes have great value and our prices haven’t changed in well over 5 years, we often don’t fill our beginner classes. For this session, we are offering half price beginner classes – an extreme bargain. We have 3 beginner classes on the schedule: Tuesdays 7-8, Thursdays 6:30-7:30, and Sundays 6-7.

DJing for you that night will be three of the most respected, experienced, and inspiring DJs we know – Jerry Almonte (D.C.), Mike Marcotte (D.C.), and Rayned Wiles (Baltimore). These guys bring an incredible depth of knowledge of swing, soul, and blues to the table – with seemingly endless supplies of fantastic music, they’ll have you out on the floor and grinning from ear to ear until the wee hours.

So give in to those cravings…and join us for an unforgettable night.

Swing Speak Oct. 7

Join us this Saturday for a great night of live music and dancing at the Mill featuring Swing Speak! Swing Speak is a fantastic dance band that has long been a favorite of ours – we’re very excited to welcome them back to the Mill to play for you once more. The band line-up is Steve Wolf (bass), Barry Hart (drums), and Tom Mitchell (guitar), with a special guest horn player.

This is a great chance to introduce some non-dancer friends to swing – bring them an hour early (8-9pm) for a free beginner lesson that’ll get them up and dancing and having a great time all night.

New Classes

Chiles has spent too much time with the new baby and neglected the website, but new classes start this week. Beginning classes Tuesdays (7-8) and Thursdays (6:30-7:30). We are starting a new blues class tonight, 8-9. Or join us on Thursday for our intermediate class, 7:30-8:30.

As always, we have our blues dance on Tuesdays 9-11 and our swing dance on Thursdays 8:30-11.

Join us for an all-night blues party with some of the best DJs in the mid-Atlantic area! These are some of the most talented, most-loved blues DJs around – and they’re coming together to bring you a truly amazing night of dancing.
